Timing is everything in e-commerce. With DiscountEasy, you don't have to stay up until midnight to start a sale. You can schedule your campaigns in advance and let the app handle the rest.
When creating or editing a discount, look for the Date section.
Start date and time: Click the calendar icon to select the exact day you want your sale to go live.
Exact Time: Use the clock picker to set the specific hour and minute.
Note: The app uses your Shopify store's timezone settings. Double-check your Shopify Admin settings if you are targeting customers in a different time zone.
If you want to create a sense of urgency, your sale should have a clear deadline.
Check the box labeled "Set end date".
Choose the date and time when the discount should automatically deactivate.
Once this time is reached, the discount prices will disappear, and the product will return to its original price.
If you have a permanent clearance section or a long-term offer:
Simply uncheck the "Set end date" box.
The discount will remain active indefinitely until you manually change its status to Inactive or delete the campaign.
Scheduled Status: If the start date is in the future, your campaign will appear in the Scheduled tab in your Discounts list. It will not be visible to customers until the exact moment arrives.
Automatic Launch: At the scheduled time, the app automatically updates the prices and displays the widgets (like countdown timers) on your site.
For the best results, use an end date alongside a Countdown Timer. When a customer sees that a sale ends in "02:45:12", they are much more likely to complete the purchase immediately. You can configure this in the Customizations tab.
Pro Tip: Plan your major holiday sales (like Black Friday or Cyber Monday) at least a week in advance. Set the start time to 12:00 AM so you can rest while the app launches the sale for you!
