Before you announce a big sale, itβs important to make sure everything looks and works perfectly. Follow these steps to test your campaign.
First, ensure your campaign status is set to Active in the Discounts list. If it's "Scheduled," it won't show up until the start date.
To see what your customers see without any browser interference:
Open a new Incognito/Private window in your browser (Chrome: Ctrl+Shift+N, Safari: Cmd+Shift+N).
Go to your store's URL.
Navigate to a product that should be discounted.
Visuals: Is the badge visible on the product image? Is the countdown timer showing the correct time?
Price: Is the original price crossed out correctly?
Checkout: Add the product to the cart and proceed to the checkout page. The discounted price should be maintained all the way to the final payment step.
If the discount isn't showing, try "refreshing" the app's connection by toggling the App Embed (in Shopify Theme settings) OFF and then back ON again.
Pro Tip: If you want to test a sale without anyone seeing it, create a discount for a hidden tag or a specific test product that isn't linked in your main navigation!
