# How to activate DiscountEasy in your Shopify theme (App Embed)?

A step-by-step guide on how to enable the DiscountEasy App Embed in your Shopify Theme settings to ensure all your discounts and widgets appear correctly on your storefront.

To make sure your discounts and widgets appear correctly on your storefront, you need to enable the **DiscountEasy App Embed** in your Shopify Theme settings. This is a required step for the app to function.

### Step 1: Open the Setup Guide

On your **DiscountEasy Dashboard**, look for the **Setup Guide** section. You will see a task labeled **"Activate app embed"**.

### Step 2: Go to Shopify Theme Editor

Click the button next to the task (usually "Activate" or "Open Settings").

-   _Alternatively:_ In your Shopify Admin, go to **Online Store** > **Themes** > **Customize** (on your current live theme).
    

### Step 3: Enable the App Embed

1.  Once the Theme Editor opens, look at the left-hand sidebar and click on the **App embeds** icon (the small blue square icon).
    
2.  Find **DiscountEasy** in the list.
    
3.  Toggle the switch to **ON** (it should turn blue).
    

### Step 4: Save your changes

Click the **Save** button in the top right corner of the Shopify Theme Editor.

> **Why is this necessary?** Enabling the App Embed allows DiscountEasy to securely display your discount badges, custom prices, and countdown timers directly on your product pages without slowing down your site.

### Troubleshooting

If you have enabled the embed but still don't see your discounts:

-   Make sure you have an **Active** discount campaign created.
    
-   Clear your browser cache or view your store in "Incognito/Private" mode.
